Study on campus

Study with us in Edinburgh for a taught or research master's degree.

Some knowledge is best gained face-to-face – in a teaching room, a dissection suite or a research lab. Our on-campus postgraduate programmes bring you into the heart of that experience, in a city that has been a centre of medical and scientific discovery for centuries.

The University of Edinburgh is ranked 19th in the world for life sciences and medicine and 5th for veterinary science (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025), and we are ranked fourth in the UK for research power, based on the quality and breadth of our research (latest Times Higher Education REF power ratings, 2021).

Your extraordinary future starts here. Explore our programmes below.

With safe, green areas and a multicultural community, Edinburgh is one of the best cities in the world to be a student (QS Best Student Cities 2026).
