TRACC programme for clinicians

The TRACC (to Train and Retain Academic Cancer Clinicians) programme - Cancer Research UK Edinburgh and Glasgow Centres’ clinical academic training programme in cancer - was initiated in 2019. The programme enables clinicians who have already completed their medical degree to develop an academic career and undertake a clinical research training fellowship, leading to the award of a PhD. This is done in parallel to their core activities in the clinic and achieved through flexible clinical lectureships and personalised mentoring by experienced clinical academics.
