Following the closing date, all nominations will be reviewed, firstly by the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine communications team and secondly by the Edinburgh Medical School 300 steering group.

Contact details will be sought for the selected 300 faces and all contactable nominees will be informed of their nomination. They will be asked for their consent to be included and a high resolution photograph will be requested.

Finally, 300 Faces of Edinburgh Medical School will be curated and subsequently, launched in January 2026.

We are expecting a high volume of nominations so you won’t hear from us unless we have any follow-up questions about your nomination. 

We will only feature 300 faces, so we may not be able to include all nominations. 

We will base selection of the final 300 faces on the supporting statement that you provide, so please keep this in mind when writing about your nominee. 

Yes you can nominate more than one person but you will need to submit a separate nomination form per nomination. 

No, we won't be informing nominees of who they were nominated by. However, if you feel comfortable in contacting your nominee, we would recommend letting them know that you have nominated them.

The final selection of 300 Faces of Edinburgh Medical School will be shared in its entirety online and a selection will feature on University of Edinburgh social media channels. A selection will also feature in in-person exhibitions and branding in Edinburgh in 2026.
