Thinking about doing a PhD? The Biomedical Postgrad Society is hosting 'How to Get a PhD' on Thursday 12th November at Hugh Robson Building. Featuring short talks and Q&As with an expert panel of post docs & current students. Event information All School of Biomedical Sciences postgraduates are welcome to join the Biomedical Postgraduate Society on Tuesday 12th of November from 17:30 in the Hugh Robson Lecture Theatre for their 'How to Get a PhD' event. Image An expert panel will give short talks and explain what they look for in a prospective student. Members of the panel have previously sat on interview panels for the University of Edinburgh. They will give you an insight into what to expect once you start an application, what they look out for in a CV, and what they look for at interview. Panel members will be available to answer your questions and give advice on the PhD application process. There will also be some past PhD students and post-docs on the panel to discuss their experiences of applying and interviewing for a PhD at the University of Edinburgh. Current PhD students are invited to attend and share their experiences too, and to get some CV and interview advice on the next stage in their career. Food and drink will be provided.
