Documentation and guidance on Shared Parental Leave and Pay, available to eligible employees whose child is due to be born/adopted on or after 5 April 2015. Shared Parental Leave (SPL) is designed to give eligible parents more flexibility regarding the care of their child during the first year of its birth or adoption. As the statutory eligibility and notification procedures are complex, the University is committed to supporting employees to ensure they are followed correctly. Employees interested in taking SPL are therefore encouraged to make early contact with their College/Support Group HR Team. Relevant documentation and guidance are published below.
