Facilities

Our state-of-the-art facilities are designed to facilitate immersive and interactive learning experiences.

At the Clinical Skills Centre of Edinburgh Medical School, our mission is to provide a dynamic and versatile learning environment that supports the development of essential clinical competencies for medical students and healthcare professionals. We are dedicated to fostering a culture of experiential learning and continuous improvement, catering primarily to the needs of undergraduate medical students while also serving as a hub for multi-professional education.

Our facilities include:

  • a four-bedded simulated ward with SMOTS technology
  • mid-fidelity manikins with clinical monitoring capabilities
  • a simulation room equipped with SimMan® and SMOTS™ technology
  • a Harvey® - the cardiopulmonary patient simulator, and dedicated teaching rooms.

Through simulated scenarios, hands-on training sessions, and collaborative learning opportunities, we aim to empower learners to develop clinical proficiency, critical thinking skills, and effective communication strategies necessary for delivering high-quality patient care.

By embracing innovation and excellence in education, we aspire to inspire a new generation of compassionate and competent healthcare professionals committed to lifelong learning and patient-centered practice. Together, we strive to be a beacon of excellence in medical education, advancing the standards of clinical skills training and contributing to the overall improvement of healthcare delivery locally and globally.
