Dr Kirstin Stuart James joins us from Edinburgh Napier University where she is currently Programme Lead for the MSc (pre-registration) Occupational Therapy degree. 

We look forward to Kirstin joining the Clinical Education programme team as Senior Academic Co-ordinator.

Kirstin's reputation is grounded in 34 years of professional experience across the breadth of Health and Social Care in the United Kingdom and the United States of America, with 29 years as a registered occupational therapist, and nine as researcher and academic specialising in the field of complex patient needs.

As an educator, Kirstin is passionate about embedding creative, novel, evidence-based approaches into the curriculum to facilitate the best possible student experience. Her clinical expertise relates to people living with dementia, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, neurological diagnoses, and those at risk of falls and reduced bone health, also translating this knowledge into effective post-graduate education.
