Studying online

What is online learning like?

Our programme is delivered using a blend of online learning methods supported by the University's award-winning online learning environments.  Most of our students continue to work as full-time clinicians and educators, bringing a wealth of experience, practical examples and opportunities to apply and reflect on the material they are learning.

During term time, you should be prepared to spend an average of 15-20 hours per week engaged in study, with study time intensifying prior to submission of your assignments.

As a postgraduate student at the University of Edinburgh, you will have access to excellent online resources and the opportunity to become part of a supportive online community, bringing together tutors and students from all over the world.  Indeed, one of the most important aspects to successful online study, is the ongoing peer-support and participation in interactive discussions with input from expert tutors.
