The University email address is the way the University of Edinburgh will contact you throughout your study, so it is important that you check this regularly or forward it to your personal email account.  See:  https://www.ed.ac.uk/information-services/help-consultancy/it-help/email-and-office365/email-faqs

MyEd is the University's web portal and the best way of finding your emails, access to your Student Channel and access to Learn.

Protect yourself from online threats - Make sure your work and your files are protected from viruses, phishing and malware.  See: https://www.ed.ac.uk/infosec/how-to-protect
