Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Edinburgh Image Consultant Paediatrician, Associate Director of Medical Education and Clinical Lead for the South East Scotland Medical Induction Review Project I graduated from the University of Aberdeen School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1996. After 18 months in multiple adult clinical specialties, I started my first paediatric clinical post in February 1998 in Cross house Hospital, Scotland and was absolutely hooked on the specialty. I have been fortunate enough to work in large general and specialist units in Glasgow, Sydney, and London and finally settled down in Edinburgh. I completed my Masters in Clinical Education through the University of Edinburgh in February 2013. I am involved in quality improvement and quality assurance of undergraduate and postgraduate paediatric programs in addition to the regional induction review project. My key areas of focus are professional well being, professional development and realistic curricula development focused in the attainment of quality, safety and effective patient care.
