Clinical Education in Practice (CEiP) is a self-directed, supported route to help you develop your knowledge, skills, values and identity as a clinical educator. You may apply for CEiP if you have completed the CEP and remain eligible for the programme. Running for 12 months, CEiP involves a process of writing a series of blogs in which you will explore your teaching and make sense of it through reflective writing, scholarship and discussion. While this is a self-directed activity, we encourage participants to form collaborative study groups. The CEP tutors provide additional support through online group sessions and one-to-one mentoring. The reflective blogging exercise is designed to reflect Academy of Medical Educator (AoME) Professional Standards and it is specifically mapped to dimensions of the Advance HE (2023) Professional Standards Framework (PSF). Once completed, CEiP should be admissible as evidence for training role recognition. In addition, it demonstrates academic attainment which is recognised by employers throughout the UK and beyond. What will I achieve through participation?Enrolment in Clinical Education in Practice provides opportunities to further develop knowledge, skills and professional competence in facilitating learning, whilst gaining accredited recognition to reflect proficiency in the educator role.
