Science & Film: Dark Star Join us for Dark Star (1974), the low key indie debut from John Carpenter and Dan O'Bannon, now a cult classic.Before John Carpenter directed Halloween and The Thing, and before Dan O’Bannon penned Alien and The Return of the Living Dead, the duo teamed up to make Dark Star, a gleefully gonzo sci-fi satire.The screening is part of Science and Film series created to mark 300 years of medical education at the University of Edinburgh.
