Additional Cost of Teaching office (ACT)

The ACT Office works with Public Service Delivery Scotland (PSDS) and NHS Boards to ensure that funding is allocated to all those who provide medical education, both in the primary and secondary care sectors.

Addictional Cost of Teaching (ACT) office funding covers both MBChB and HCP-Med educators.

In addition, the ACT office works with Edinburgh Medical School to evaluate clinical teaching in both the MBChB and HCP-Med programmes. The feedback supplied by students is shared with the medical school, Directors of Medical education at our partner health boards as well as site leads for all specialties. The feedback is sent to PSDS uses it as part of the national student evaluation survey.
