Our modern facilities are spread out across a number of University campuses. Image Edinburgh Medical School has its headquarters in the Chancellor’s Building on the BioQuarter campus, which is beside Edinburgh’s Royal Infirmary Hospital. The Chancellor’s Building offers state of the art lecture theatres, seminar rooms and a clinical skills centre, as well as library and computing facilities. The Medical Education Centre at the Western General Hospital campus also has a clinical skills training area and computer laboratories. Virtual visit Where you will study - by year First and second years are mainly taught at the University main campus in George Square and at the Old Medical School , Teviot Place. You will also have some clinical skills sessions at the Chancellor's Building. In year 3, you begin your honours years, so depending on your choice of subject, you could be based on any of the University campuses. In years 4 to 6, clinical teaching also takes place in Edinburgh’s three teaching hospitals, in community GP practices, and in hospitals across south and central Scotland. Clinical Skills Centre (Chancellor's Building) The centre is used by our medical students throughout the six years of their degree.
