You must meet the standard entry requirements in order to be considered. For up to date information on our academic entry requirements, please see the information on the University's Degree Finder at the link below: MBChB programme on the University of Edinburgh degree finder The competition for places in the MBChB programme is extremely high. For 2023 entry, we received approximately 2288 applications for 166 Scotland fee rate places, 79 Rest of the UK/Republic of Ireland fee rate places and 21 Overseas (International)/EU fee rate places, making a total of 266 places available. We are therefore generally unable to consider any applicant who has not achieved or is not predicted to achieve our entrance requirements. For Academic Year 2025, candidates flagged as “Plus” (as defined in the University’s Contextual Admissions and Widening Access Offers Policy) are expected to meet our Minimum Entry Requirement instead of our Standard Entry Requirement. These are outlined in the Degree Finder - link above.
