For 2025 entry, we received approximately 1870 applications for 166 Scotland fee rate places, 79 Rest of the UK/Republic of Ireland fee rate places and 21 Overseas (International)/EU fee rate places, making a total of 266 places available. We are therefore generally unable to consider any applicant who has not achieved or is not predicted to achieve our entrance requirements.For Academic Year 2026, candidates flagged as “Plus” (as defined in the University’s Contextual Admissions and Widening Access Offers Policy) are expected to meet our Minimum Entry Requirement instead of our Standard Entry Requirement. These are outlined in the Degree Finder - link above. Additional to the places above, the Scottish Government introduced an initiative to increase widening participation in Medicine. For 2025 entry, an additional 25 places were available for those living in the lowest in Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation areas (known as SIMD 20).
