English language proficiency

All students whose first language is not English will have to provide proof of English language proficiency.

Students will be working with patients early on and we want to be sure that they will be confident to be able to communicate with staff, students and patients.

Deferred entry

Due to the extremely competitive nature of the programme, we are unable to consider any applications for deferred entry with the exception of those undertaking mandatory military service or a similar obligation. If undertaking National Service we may consider deferral for up to one year only.

Fee deposits

All successful international applicants are required to pay a fee deposit of a third of the year’s fees.

Working Abroad

There are well defined routes for graduates of a UK Medical degree to registration in Europe, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the USA. Refer to the British Medical Association website for full information:
