Research & Development: An Industry Perspective Dr Amrit Ray is Chief Medical Officer at Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson and a graduate of Edinburgh Medical School. Before joining Janssen he worked as a physician with medical research experience in North America, Europe and Asia. In the search for new medicines, pharmaceutical research and development is a rapidly evolving landscape that presents a number of challenges and opportunities.
