Citizen science

Find out about College expertise on the subject of citizen science.

Citizen Science is the involvement of the non-academic public in the process of scientific research - whether community-driven research or global investigations (citizescience.org). Citizens do scientifc work - often working together with experts or scientific institutions. They support the collection, analysis or description of research data and make a valuable contribution to science.

CMVM Public Engagement with Research

Public engagement with research (PEwR) is a term used to describe the many ways that bring together the public and research. Public engagement can take place at any point in the research process: involving the public before the research begins to shape the research question, during the research process, or at the end to feed back on findings and work out how the findings of research can be applied.

The CMVM Public Engagement with Research SharePoint has more information on how PEwR is used in CMVM.
