What is research impact? (Wed 24th April at 12.00pm) Lena Lorenz, the CMVM Research Impact Manager, will give a brief introduction to the concept of impact of research on society, and what resources and support are available. Funders are increasingly expecting researchers to have clear pathways to impact, and exercises such as the Research Excellence Framework (REF) are asking universities for examples of great engagement and impact. This session will introduce these concepts and will form the basis to more in-depth workshops during the inaugural UoE Impact Festival, 28-30th May (more details to be shared during the talk).
