Edinburgh Science Festival 2023

The city-wide festival makes a welcome return in April 2023, giving audiences engaging, hands-on science experiences.

Edinburgh Science Festival returns from 1 April 2023 and with it, the opportunity to share our science with new audiences.

Staff and students from across the College have prepared a busy programme of workshops, talks and experiences to help reveal how science works, how evidence is gathered, what our researchers have learnt, and how science is relevant to everyone's lives.

Here's what's on the bill this year:

Let's Experiment

A team of eight professors are set to try a new inaugural lecture format at the festival with our 'Let's Experiment: The Professors' event, where they'll share one idea or experiment that has shaped their working lives.
