June 2022: Careers Beyond Academia - Envision Pharma We are delighted to be joined by Rachel Forsyth and Annabel Campbell from Envision Pharma (EPG) Rachel is Division Head of Scientific Medical Affairs at EPG and will give a brief overview about the company's medical communications work. Annabel is an Associate Medical Writer at Envision Pharma Group. She started working for EPG in September 2021, so she’s recently made the transition from early career researcher to medical communications. She has a PhD in cardiac electrophysiology from the University of Glasgow, which she completed in 2016 as part of the BHF 4 year PhD studentship at the Institute of Cardiovascular and Medical Sciences. Prior to working in med comms, she worked on a BHF funded post-doc at University of Glasgow, and also lectured in neuroscience, biochemistry and anatomy. She’s currently a writer on a publications team, which involves writing manuscripts, abstracts and putting together conference presentations for clinical studies. She works from home in Lanark, but she is part of a team with members based in Scotland, England and the East Coast of the US.
