Careers Beyond Academia - Dr Stephen Hartland - 9th February 2023 Join us for the first Careers Beyond Academia seminar of 2023. Our first speaker is Dr Stephen Hartland who was a postdoc in the Centre of Inflammation Research, University of Edinburgh. He decided to pursue a career in industry (Thermo Fisher Scientific) using the technical scientific knowledge he gained from his academic career. He will talk about why he decided to leave research and what skills he used both to gain employment with this industry, then move to more senior roles within the company, where he now works as a customer experience leader for the life science arm of Thermo Fisher Scientific.
