Chantelle Aftab

Chantelle has been a dedicated member of the Edinburgh Medical School staff since 2003. Her passion for education and supporting students has earned her numerous nominations for the EUSA student awards, including the prestigious Teacher of the Year award in 2022. 

Chantelle is proud to have made a positive impact on her students' lives, encouraging them to believe in themselves and their abilities. As a Senior Lecturer and Deputy Programme Director, she has demonstrated outstanding leadership in postgraduate medical education, providing compassionate mentorship and guidance to international students. 

Her commitment to student success and wellbeing has left a lasting impression on her colleagues and students, while her dedication and empathy have made her an invaluable member of the university community.
