Sue Fletcher-Watson

Sue is a developmental psychologist with a particular focus on autism. Alongside being a professor, she is also Dean of Equity, Inclusion and Community for the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine. Sue’s research focuses on understanding neurodiversity and developing resources to support neurodivergent people. She strives to include lived experience expertise in all aspects of her research projects.

As well as being founder of a charity, SuperTroop, which provides residential breaks and holidays for children and young people with disabilities, Sue is also an author and blog writer. 

Sue exemplifies true commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion in everything she does. She is wellknown for being friendly and approachable. She has provided vital time and support to members of the University’s Staff Pride Network and across the University community, helping colleagues to feel that they belong and have the opportunity to flourish.
