Amy Ferry has worked in cardiovascular research as a research nurse for the last 12 years and has recently become professional lead for Research Nurses, Midwives and Allied Health Professionals.

Amy has been pivotal in transforming patient and public interactions, driving forward not only her own dedicated cardiovascular PPI program, but also acting as lead supervisor for PhD students and managing a team of junior research nurses. 

Her work evaluating sex disparities in myocardial infarction assessment has been featured globally in international media, and she has presented work at international and national meetings. 

Her work into NHS staff psychological impacts during COVID-19 was the first analysis of its kind conducted and published in the UK and has been cited almost 150 times. 

Alongside her work as a research nurse in the Centre for Cardiovascular Sciences, Amy received a Doctor of Philosophy from the University in 2019.
