Katherine Fox

In her third year at the University of Edinburgh, Katherine founded Medics Reveal, an annual student show created in memory of her sister Helen to mark what would have been her 30th birthday. The aim was to raise money and awareness for Teenage Cancer Trust. Katherine organised and ran the show for the next three years, raising £35,000 and working to establish it as a lasting tradition.

The event is now one of the biggest fixtures in the university calendar and has gone on to raise over £200,000 for the charity. It has provided a creative outlet for hundreds of students and is now a registered charity. 

Katherine is originally from Manchester and has recently moved back after the birth of her first child. After graduating from Edinburgh Medical School, she worked in Newcastle, Melbourne and most recently Glasgow, as a general surgery registrar.
