Rangan graduated from Edinburgh Medical school in 2001 and initially trained as a GP.

After his six-month old son had a seizure on holiday, he started to take a more progressive, holistic approach to medicine, looking at the root causes of physical and mental health rather than just symptom control of diseases with drugs.

He recognises the importance of mental health, nutrition, sleep, stress management and physical exercise in both the prevention and treatment of ill health. His expertise in these fields has led to TV appearances, a TED talk on 'How to make disease disappear' and a stint as a BBC2 radio presenter.

He has written six internationally best-selling books and presents the podcast 'Feel better, Live More with Dr Rangan Chatterjee' which aims to simplify the wealth of health information available, promote evidence-based interventions to improve wellbeing and debunk some common health myths. He has more than 1.6 million followers on Instagram and 1.2 million YouTube subscribers.

He is an excellent communicator and his positive messages have helped improve the health and lives of millions of people.
