Angela Ingram

Angela is a dedicated operational manager, specialising in biomedical science operations at the University of Edinburgh. Over nearly two decades, she has played a key role in managing operations at the Institute of Genetics and Cancer. Her leadership was crucial during the COVID-19 pandemic when she managed the shutdown and reopening of the institute, safeguarding important research assets and overseeing patient sample processing for clinical trials.
 

Angela's expertise was central in facilitating two major COVID-19 testing centres, increasing testing capacity and supporting health efforts during a critical period. Her impact also extends to collaboration with NHS Lothian, where she has been influential in optimising space and facilities for clinical use and medical teaching.
 

Throughout her career, Angela has effectively coordinated diverse groups and managed complex projects with diligence and dedication. Her contributions have supported advancements in medical research and ensured the operational efficiency of the facilities she oversees.  Her commitment and skills have been crucial in maintaining and enhancing research and teaching environments in Edinburgh.
