Amanda Amos

Amanda is a renowned Emeritus Professor of Health Promotion at Edinburgh Medical School, with a distinguished career spanning over 35 years. 

As a key figure in the Usher Institute, she has made significant contributions to public health research, particularly in the area of women and smoking. Her work as a founder of the Scottish branch of ASH has been instrumental in shaping tobacco cessation policy in Scotland. 

Amanda has also maintained a strong teaching portfolio, mentoring numerous public health scholars and students at all levels, from medical students to PhD students and post-doctoral fellows.
