Her academic journey led her to the University of Edinburgh in 1893 where she obtained an LRCP (Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians) certification, marking a crucial period when the Royal College was just beginning to accept female students.Kadambini's time in Edinburgh was critical to her professional development: it was here that she fortified her medical training, enabling her to practise medicine back in India.
