Jennifer is Deputy Head of Anatomy: Education & Research at Edinburgh Medical School. Originally from Dumbarton near Glasgow, Jennifer has been a key figure in the school's anatomy department since 2014, making contributions to both teaching and research. She is responsible for leading the first-year anatomy curriculum for the MBChB programme and played a pivotal role in establishing the first online Anatomical Sciences programme in 2015, which she continues to lead.

Jennifer's innovative approach to anatomy education is best exemplified through her creation of the ATLAS Facility. Established as a cutting-edge resource for anatomy teaching, the facility incorporates 3D scanning, digital modelling and 3D printing to enhance educational experiences for medical students. This initiative not only supports the learning of anatomy through new technologies but also contributes to teaching and research advancements within the discipline.

Alongside her educational pursuits, Jennifer directs a tissue engineering research group focused on developing new tissues and organs in the laboratory. This work underscores the practical applications of anatomy in contemporary medical research and innovation.
