Rosemary is an honorary consultant obstetrician and senior lecturer at NHS Lothian and a senior lecturer at Edinburgh Medical School. She is a graduate of Edinburgh Medical School and has always been passionate about the rich tradition of women’s healthcare at Edinburgh and the research and innovation aiming to address the health needs of women globally.

Before returning to work at Edinburgh, Rosemary worked in Glasgow, London and Uganda. Today, she teaches medical students about women's healthcare and also leads research using cutting edge technology to save lives of women and babies facing complications during childbirth around the world. She is also the organiser for the Year 5 obstetrics and gynaecology module within the MBChB programme.

Rosemary is noted by her peers as being passionate about obstetrics and gynaecology, research, and medical education ever since her student days, alongside supporting causes, medical missions and charities.
