Euan Sandilands is a clinician and medical educator at the University of Edinburgh, where he leads undergraduate assessment for the medical degree programme. A graduate of Edinburgh Medical School himself, he now contributes to teaching in acute and general medicine at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, alongside a clinical and management role in the NHS.

As assessment lead, Euan is involved in all years of the undergraduate curriculum. He plays a role in the student interview process and is working with colleagues to develop a bank of exam questions and clinical assessments for students across all year groups. He is a familiar presence to students, often among the first staff members they meet on arrival and a consistent figure at examinations throughout their studies.

Euan is a previous recipient of a SEFCE Educator of the Year award, reflecting the regard in which he is held by students and colleagues.
