His family and peers have provided this tribute.Veer’s great grandparents were migrants who settled in Scotland from post-partition India in the 1950’s. Veer wanted to study medicine from a very young age after listening to his grandmother speak so positively about the NHS. When she was treated with such care and kindness by the NHS at the end of her life, Veer was certain that medicine was the career he was going to pursue.Veer was very personable and made friends very easily. He enjoyed fitness, MMA (mixed martial arts), cars, piano and classic TV. Family, friends and faith were very important to him.Veer aspired to be an oncologist, he was very passionate about the NHS and free healthcare for all. Veer was kind, compassionate and caring. He was extremely well thought of by his peers who describe him as a special and intelligent person who was 100% committed to his studies.“To be a medical professional you put the care for others as your priority and I have never seen any person take that to heart as much as Veer Pall”Following a short but devastating illness, Veer passed away in 2024.
