Robin is a specialist in family medicine, with a passion for educating and empowering the next generation of general practitioners. 

Born in Aberdeen, he completed his undergraduate medical training at Aberdeen University and went on to work extensively in the UK and abroad, including time in Uganda, the Philippines, and Nepal. 

After returning to the UK, Robin chaired the Royal College of General Practitioners Junior International Committee, improving opportunities for new GPs to access global health experiences. 

In 2014, Robin moved to Edinburgh and established the Master of Family Medicine Programme online programme at Edinburgh Medical School. This programme aims to promote compassionate, values-based and academic family medicine, contributing to international goals of primary health care development and universal health coverage. 

Robin is proud to have contributed to Edinburgh Medical School by developing world-leading online learning programmes, leading a team to provide accessible postgraduate education and creating a global community of students and graduates who can make a positive impact on local health communities around the world.
