Audrey is a dedicated postdoctoral research fellow at Edinburgh Medical School, focusing on the field of myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS).

Audrey began her scientific journey at University College London where she earned a BSc in Infection & Immunity. She followed this with an MSc, and then a PhD at the University of Edinburgh through the Wellcome Trust Hosts, Pathogens & Global Health PhD programme.

During her PhD, she explored adaptive immune receptor repertoire sequencing in both controlled human malaria infection and ME/CFS, under the supervision of Dr Graeme Cowan.

Currently, Audrey's work is supported by the first Clare Francis Postdoctoral Research Fellowship awarded by Action for ME, where she investigates biomarkers of ME/CFS under the guidance of Professor Chris Ponting. Her research is vital, offering potential breakthroughs in understanding a disease that affects millions, yet remains poorly understood. Audrey's commitment to her field is encapsulated in her belief that "scientific rigour can blaze a trail for future ME/CFS research."
